Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr 21: As part of efforts to promote cleanliness and sanitation under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Padma Shri awardee and Swachh Bharat Mission Ambassador for the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Mr. Naresh Chander Lal, visited Government Senior Secondary School, Tushnabad on April 21. During his visit, he interacted with students and teachers, encouraging them to maintain cleanliness within the school premises as well as in their surrounding communities.
Mr. Lal also urged students to actively participate in sports and games to stay physically fit. He advised them to stay away from substances that can harm their body and mind.
Encouraging creative engagement, he suggested that students use their mobile phones productively by creating short films showcasing the culture of the islands. He also emphasized the importance of developing a habit of reading by regularly visiting libraries.
Furthermore, he appealed to students to conserve water and avoid wasting even a single drop in their daily lives.
