
Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 25: The Skill India Training Centre at Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM) successfully organized a certificate distribution ceremony on 24th March 2026 at 3:00 PM in the Lecture Gallery of the institution.
A total of 139 students were awarded certificates upon the successful completion of the first batch of various skill development courses conducted during the academic session 2025–2026. The courses included Fundamentals of Physical Fitness, Fundamentals of Yoga, Basics of Leadership Development, Fundamentals of Digital Literacy, Essentials in Self Defence and Fundamentals of Sports Injury Prevention and First Aid.
Dr. Pearl Devdas, Principal, JNRM, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and congratulated the students for their dedication and commitment. In her address, she emphasized the importance of skill-based education in enhancing employability and empowering youth to meet industry demands.
The programme was attended by the Course Coordinators — Dr. Hema Banerjee, Dr. Satyender Pal Singh, Dr. C. Parthiban and Mrs. Nidhi Shekhawat— who also shared their experiences. On the occasion, participating students provided valuable feedback, stating that the training offered them a golden opportunity to acquire practical skills.
Faculty members, coordinators, and staff of the Skill India Training Centre were also present during the event. The program concluded with a note of appreciation to all those involved in the successful conduct of the training and certification process.
The programme commenced with a welcome address delivered by Dr. Sonamuthu, Nodal Officer, Skill India, JNRM, and was coordinated by Dr. P. Abdul Salam, Assistant Nodal Officer, Skill India, JNRM.
