Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 19: On 19th March 2026, The Institution of Engineers (India), Andaman & Nicobar State Centre celebrated World Water Day 2026 on the theme “Water and Gender” by organising a technical visit to the Desalination Plant at MES, Brichgunj.
Students and faculty members of DBRAIT from the departments of Civil, Mechanical, and Electronics & Communication Engineering participated in the visit. The participants were briefed by Er. Vikash Singhal, IDSE, Garrison Engineer, who explained the working and operation of the desalination plant. The session was interactive and informative.
At the end of the visit, Chairperson Er. Usha Stephen, FIE, felicitated Er. Vikash Singhal with a memento in appreciation of his support in making the programme successful.
