Sri Vijaya Puram, Feb 19: On the occasion of the Foundation Day of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram, celebrated on 20th February 2026, I extend my warmest greetings and best wishes to the people of these two vibrant States.
Arunachal Pradesh, the “Land of the Dawn-lit Mountains,” is a breathtaking land where the first rays of the sun touch the Indian subcontinent. Also known as the “Land of the Rising Sun,” it is adorned with majestic mountains, serene valleys and a rich cultural heritage shaped by its diverse indigenous communities.
Mizoram, the “Land of the Blue Mountains,” located in the southernmost part of Northeast India, is a paradise of lush green hills, dense bamboo forests and a society deeply rooted in its traditions and values. Its vibrant cultural heritage, harmonious way of life and indomitable spirit make it a true jewel of our nation.
On the Foundation Day of these remarkable States, we honor their rich traditions, cultural legacies and significant contributions to the progress and unity of our great nation. Their unwavering spirit, resilience and commitment to growth continue to inspire us all.
On this special occasion, I extend my heartfelt best wishes to the people of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram residing in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. May these States continue to thrive in peace, harmony and development, enriching the diverse fabric of our beloved country. May this occasion inspire hope, togetherness and renewed dedication towards realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat.
