
Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 27: The Andaman & Nicobar Muaythai team delivered an outstanding performance at the 7th Senior National Muaythai Championship, securing a total of 17 medals, including 5 gold, 5 silver, and 7 bronze, marking one of the best national performances in the region’s sporting history.
Gold medals were won by Vikas, Yunus, Shiv, Surya, and Tanzim, with several athletes achieving multiple podium finishes. Shahid emerged as a key contributor with two silver and one bronze medal, while Pranav added a silver and bronze to the tally. Avijit and Suresh secured silver medals, and Jyothi and Shafdhar completed the medal count with bronze finishes.
The remarkable achievement highlights the growing strength of Muaythai in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands and reflects the athletes’ dedication, discipline, and high-level preparation. This performance firmly establishes the team as a rising force in Indian Muaythai.
