On the occasion of the Foundation Day of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to all its residents.
This day marks a historic milestone, commemorating the unification of Dadra and Nagar Haveli with Daman and Diu on 26 January 2020, which ushered in a new chapter of administrative unity and progress. The Union Territory stands as a vibrant blend of cultural diversity, natural beauty and historical significance, contributing meaningfully to the nation’s rich mosaic and truly reflecting the spirit of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat.
The tranquil forests and scenic landscapes of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, the picturesque coastline and heritage of Daman, and the pristine beaches and maritime charm of Diu together create a unique and harmonious identity. These regions exemplify a strong commitment to sustainable development, cultural preservation and communal harmony.
As we observe this Foundation Day, let us reaffirm our collective resolve to nurture our heritage, protect our environment and further strengthen unity among our people.
I convey my warm wishes to the people of Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, including those residing in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. May this occasion inspire hope, togetherness and renewed dedication towards realizing the Prime Minister’s vision of a Viksit Bharat.
