She is an ex-student of Carmel Senior Secondary School, Port Blair, and completed her BSc from the prestigious All Saints College, Thiruvananthapuram, a foundation that shaped her discipline, creativity, and academic excellence.
She is a three-time recipient of the Certificate of Honour for (Teaching), her outstanding contribution to education, particularly in guiding students in innovative mathematical projects that achieved national recognition.
Beyond academics, she has been equally passionate about nurturing creativity. She has multiple times guided students in promoting art and culture through Kala Utsav, proudly representing her school at the District, State, and National levels. Her commitment to both scholastic excellence and cultural enrichment reflects her holistic approach to education, inspiring countless students to excel not only in academics but also in the arts, during her tenure in the Education Department. After completing BSc, MEd, she did MSc in Ecology & Environment then IATA/UFTA and then PDSA also. Kanika made the bold decision to take voluntary retirement and follow her true calling transforming cakes into edible art. This leap of faith has not only brought her personal fulfillment but has also set new benchmarks for quality and creativity in the region’s baking industry. Baking Course from Marina Charles Kerala, Sculpting Course workshop by Marta Hidalgo from Spain at Bengaluru, Master class of English Structure cake by Samie J Ramachandran at Bengaluru, Cake Show Participation at Bengaluru and Mumbai in 2025. These skills allow her to produce cakes/Jar cakes/cookies that are not only delicious but also visually stunning crafted with love, skill & elegance, true masterpieces that often double as the main decor element of a celebration.
