Port Blair, May 14: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) organized a training programme with Nehru Yuva Kendra at Panchayat Hall, Prothrapur on HIV/AIDS-STDs, Blood Donation, HIV/TB and condom promotion. Altogether 50 participants were present in which all wards member of Prothrapur Panchayat and volunteers of National Youth Corak were attended.
The training was conducted under the supervision and leadership of Shri. Rakesh Bali, Project Director, A & N AIDS Control Society.
The training programme was inaugurated by Shri. Sanjay Meshac, Up-Pramukh, South Andaman and Smti. Madhu Lall, Pradhan, Prothrapur. Pradhan on her speed said that in the present scenario the training which is provided by A & N AIDS Control Society onHIV/AIDS-STDs, Blood Donation, HIV/TB and condom promotion is very useful for our society.
The training programme was commenced and facilitated by Shri. Girish Kumar, Consultant (CSM), ANACS he elaborated on the topics on HIV/AIDS, Sexually Transmitted Disease, Blood Donation, Stigma & Discrimination. The training was concluded by Shri. B L Vivek Thakur, AD (PDC), ANACS with the topic of condom promotion and preparation of HIV/AIDS documentation.
The programme was concluded with vote of thanks given by Shri. Kundan Lall, Dist. Co-ordinator, NYK, Port Blair.
