
Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec 07: As part of the ongoing initiative “Sampark se Samadhan – Prashasan Gaon ki Ore,” a Public Grievance Redressal Programme was organised on 04.12.2025 at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Auditorium, Rangat, under the chairmanship of Mr. Sushant Padha, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, North & Middle Andaman. The programme aims to strengthen service delivery mechanisms and ensure timely resolution of public grievances through direct engagement with citizens.
The camp was attended by Mr. R.Madhavan, Up-Adhyaksh, ZP NMA, Mr. Siva Shakti B., Divisional Forest Officer, Middle Andaman, Mr. Vikash Kumar, Assistant Commissioner, Rangat, Mr. Chanden G.S., SDPO Rangat, along with PRI representatives, Heads of Departments and members of the general public.
During the Revenue Camp Court, 13 Sub-Division cases and 28 name correction cases were approved. Several pending diversion and mutation matters were also resolved and updated in the Revenue Records, providing immediate relief to the applicants.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from around 400 citizens, who raised several key issues related to road conditions, health services, education, civil supplies and public infrastructure. The condition of the Purana Thana, Rangat road, constructed nearly 30 years ago was also discussed. The Deputy Commissioner assured that he will personally inspect the road during his visit on the next day.
Various other issues pertaining to the area were also discussed. The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned Departments to take prompt and necessary action and assured that he would personally monitor follow-up on all critical points. Public grievances also emphasised the non-availability of specialist doctors and issues related to civil supplies distribution in remote villages. The DC assured that these matters would be taken up at the appropriate level for early resolution.
The District Administration will continue conducting door-to-door interactions with residents to understand their issues first-hand and facilitate on-the-spot solutions through concerned line departments. The initiative will be extended to remaining villages across the district in the coming months.
