
Sri Vijaya Puram, Oct 05: In its continued efforts to safeguard Government land from illegal occupation, the Revenue Department of South Andaman carried out a focused eviction operation today at Sitapur village, Shaheed Dweep.
In a recent operation, fresh encroachment in the shape of a katcha shop structure that had been erected on Government revenue land near Sitapur beach, Shaheed Dweep. The unauthorized structure was dismantled and cleared, thereby restoring an area measuring 60 square meters of Government land to its original condition.
The Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman, has issued a stern warning to the general public to refrain from encroaching upon Government land, reiterating that the Administration follows a zero-tolerance policy towards such violations. He further cautioned that strict action will be taken not only against encroachers but also against individuals found aiding or abetting such illegal activities.
