Sri Vijaya Puram, Sep 26: On 25.09.2025, the Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District, visited Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS), Malacca, Car Nicobar. During the visit, he briefed the students on career counselling and also addressed important issues related to cybercrime and drug abuse, in the presence of school faculty members and the SHO, Car Nicobar.
The Superintendent of Police, Nicobar District briefed about future opportunities for students, including government schemes, scholarships, sports careers, and skill development programs. Officials reaffirmed their support for empowering them. A dedicated session was held to raise awareness about the POCSO Act, stressing the importance of child protection and timely reporting of abuse. This was followed by discussions on drug abuse prevention and the crucial role of families, schools, and communities. The Superintendent of Police also addressed cyber safety, warning against online scams, promoting secure digital practices, and encouraging responsible use of social media.
