Sri Vijaya Puram, Aug 24: As part of its continued efforts to ensure balanced development and improve rural connectivity, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman/Secretary (RD, PRIs & ULBs) visited Ferrargunj Village and adjoining areas today.
During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman inspected the freshly laid blacktop rural road at Ward No. 11 under Gram Panchayat, Humfrygunj.
The Deputy Commissioner also reviewed ongoing development works being undertaken in the region. As part of the inspection, a visit was made to the Bambooflat Jetty where the status of infrastructure and facilities was assessed.
The District Administration reiterated its commitment to strengthening basic infrastructure, rural connectivity, and livelihood opportunities through planned interventions and active participation of PRIs and community representatives. The Administration assured that efforts will continue to create sustainable infrastructure to support inclusive growth across South Andaman.
