Sir Vijaya Puram, July 29: A session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act was conducted today at the Port Management Board. The session was graced by the presence of Director Cdr Vijay Kumar.
During the session, participants were sensitized about key milestones in the evolution of workplace harassment laws in India, including the Bhanwari Devi case, the landmark Vishaka Guidelines, and the provisions of the POSH Act, 2013. The discussions aimed to enhance awareness and understanding of the legal safeguards available to employees, and the responsibilities of organizations in ensuring compliance.
The session concluded with all participants taking a pledge to uphold dignity and respect in the workplace and to actively contribute towards maintaining a harassment-free environment.
