Diglipur, July 23: Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari, State BJP President visited Diglipur and held a meeting with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders and workers today.
As per report, it was Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari’s maiden visit to Diglipur after he was elected as the State President, BJP, A & N Islands on 1st July 2025. Mr. Tiwari held a constructive meeting with grassroots BJP karyakartas in the Zila Parishad Community Hall behind Radhagovinda Temple in Subhashgram, Diglipur. He was accorded a warm and enthusiastic welcome by party workers.
The meeting commenced with the lighting of the lamp by Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari, followed by the garlanding of the portraits of Bharat Mata, Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee, and Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya which appeared to be a symbolic gesture that underscored the party’s commitment to its ideological roots and nationalistic values.
Smt. Alpana Mandal, District BJP President, Diglipur welcomed Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari and delivered a welcome speech. In her address, she said that the BJP organization would be strengthened and consolidated from the grassroots level, and major objectives of the party would be reportedly achieved under the guidance of the newly elected State President.
The Pramukh, Panchayat Samiti, Diglipur Shri Dipankar Mistry, a stalwart of the BJP said that Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari’s appointment as the State BJP President has reportedly come at a critical time when there are lots of expectations from him. Reposing his faith in new State BJP President, he further said that the party reportedly heavily relies on a capable and decisive leader like Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari and the party will thrive while Mr. Tiwari will aptly captain the team of karyakartas; party’s initiatives would be reportedly implemented effectively, reaching even the remotest parts of this geographically scattered Union Territory. Mr. Mistry also urged the State President to address the key issues, especially the Administration’s undermining the three-tier PRI systems by allegedly disempowering the PRI’s power.
In his historic political address, Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari emphasized the importance of unity and dedication among party workers. He called upon all members to work tirelessly for the welfare and upliftment of the backward and underprivileged citizens across these islands. Sounding tough and uncompromising, Mr. Tiwari reportedly said that indiscipline within the party would not be tolerated. He was also found listing the BJP’s success stories in the last Lok Sabha Election in A & N Islands. He also praised the efforts & endeavours of party workers and veteran leaders who have been contributing to the growth of the party for the last many decades. He emphasized his commitment to strengthening the BJP organization in Andaman and Nicobar Islands from the grassroots level over the years to come, while the visit of Shri Anil Kumar Tiwari marked a renewed commitment by BJP leadership to engage closely with local karyakartas and build a stronger, more inclusive political presence in the region.
Earlier, Shri Sribhash Das, Zilla Parishad Adhyaksh, N & M Andaman, Mayabunder and Smt. Suniti Haldar, ZPM, Keralapuram Constituency and the former BJP District President, Diglipur also delivered their short speeches in the meeting, the report said.
