Sri Vijaya Puram, July 18: In alignment with the Swachhta Pakhwada initiative, Jan Shikshan Sansthan (JSS), South Andaman, successfully organized a plantation drive at Bathubasti, Sri Vijaya Puram to promote environmental sustainability and foster community engagement.
The event was honored by the presence of distinguished members of the judiciary, including:
• Mr. Sudhir Kumar, District & Sessions Judge, Andaman & Nicobar Islands
• Mr. Rashid Alam, Registrar, High Court Calcutta Circuit Bench, Sri Vijaya Puram
• Mr. Neyaz Alam, Additional District & Sessions Judge, Sri Vijaya Puram
• Mr. Anupam Sircar, Judicial Magistrate First Class, Additional Court, Sri Vijaya Puram
Also in attendance were Mr. K. Vijay Kumar, Vice Chairman, Jan Shikshan Sansthan; Ms. Marya Sheela, Director, Jan Shikshan Sansthan; and dedicated staff members of the organization.
Special appreciation was extended to Councillor Mr. V. Vetrivelu (Ward 19) for his valuable support and encouragement toward this green initiative.
The plantation drive underscored the critical importance of environmental conservation and the collective responsibility of citizens in maintaining clean and green surroundings. JSS South Andaman reaffirmed its commitment to activities that contribute to the Swachh Bharat Mission and the broader goals of sustainable development.
