Sri Vijaya Puram, July 18: In the recently culminated function of Swachh Survekshan Awards organized by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs at New Delhi, on 17th July 2025 the Sri Vijaya Puram Municipal Council was awarded in the category of “Promising Swachh Shehar”. The award was received by the Chairperson, SVPMC Mr. S.Shahul Hammed in the presence of Officials of the Council.
The award is the recognition that acknowledges the efforts of cities in achieving cleanliness and sanitation standards. The award is based on a rigorous evaluation process that assesses various parameters including Waste Management, Sanitation Infrastructure and Citizen Participation.
Further on today 18th July 2025 in a meeting held at the Conference Hall of Secretariat, the Chairperson, SVPMC apprised the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Dr.Bhushan Kumar, IAS regarding winning the award at the Swachh Survekshan Awards function and shared / displayed the mementos and certificates received by the SVPMC.
