Sri Vijaya Puram, July 18: A delegation of Nagarpalika Swachhtha Karmachari Sangh (NSKS) under the leadership of Mr. Jaydeep Kr. Dey, President, Andaman Nicobar Rajya Karmachari Mahasangh (ANRKM) today met Mr. Anil Tiwari, the newly elected State President of Bharatiya Janta Party, A & N Islands to congratulate and felicitate with angvastra by the Mr. Shyam Sunder Rao, President, NSKS and Mr. D. Palaniandi, Secretary, NSKS. The other Committee members present also congratulated and distributed sweets to all present in the office.
The delegation took this opportunity to present the issues of the working class of the Municipal Council. In the matter of regularisation Mr. Vijay Nair, Finance Secretary, ANRKM emphasises on the urgency of regularisation due to the reduced life span of sanitary workers. On the death of the employees, the family comes into distress and a compensatory approach is not considered by the SVPMC. On submission of the present condition, Mr. Anil Tiwari said that the present Modi Govt. only sanctioned 1/30th of Pay to all DRMs and now will take up the matter with the National Leadership and respective Ministry to consider the regularisation of casual employees as it is an autonomous body and requires only Rs. 20.00 Crores of additional funds. Mr. Anil Tiwari ji assured that on declaration of National President and formation of required committees of BJP of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, the matter will be placed and necessary steps will be taken up for resolving the issues.
