Sri Vijaya Puram, July 18, 2025: In a much-awaited development, the State Bank of India (SBI) Baratang branch has finally been shifted from the first floor to a new, more accessible ground floor location at Nilambur Village, bringing great relief and joy to the residents of Baratang.
The old branch had served the region for over 13–14 years but posed significant challenges for senior citizens, pregnant women, and specially-abled individuals due to its location on the upper floor. The relocation to the ground floor now ensures easier and more inclusive access to banking services for all.
The grand reopening ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of: Mr. Vivekanand Singh, Deputy General Manager, SBI; Mr. Santosh Sahu, Regional Manager, SBI; Shri Alager Swamy, Zilla Parishad Member, Baratang; Smti Sumari Roy, Pradhan, Nilambur and Smti Sarla Krishnan, Pradhan, Sundergarh.
