Sri Vijaya Puram, July 18: Taking cognizance of the concerns raised by Mr. Bishnu Pada Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, regarding the serious issues faced by the residents of Great Nicobar and Tribal areas due to the increasing monkey menace, the Ministry of Home Affairs has instructed the UT Administration on 15th July 2025 to take immediate preventive measures as deem fit in consultation with the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change to initiate appropriate action. Further, the UT Administration has been asked to furnish a suitable response to the MP under intimation to the MHA.
