Sri Vijaya Puram, July 19: A theft was reported at the BSNL office in Namunaghar where thieves broke in and stole key government equipment including inverter units, batteries, and an air conditioner. The incident is suspected to have occurred late at night or early yesterday morning.
The matter came to light when a BSNL technician and the only staff posted at the office, arrived around 9:30 a.m. and noticed the main door’s lock was slightly open. On further inspection, he discovered that an internal door had been broken. Shocked, he immediately alerted senior officers and contacted the local police.
According to villager, the Ograbraj Police Station responded quickly, registered a complaint, and began an investigation. Officers are currently inspecting the premises and have started search operations in nearby areas.
