Sri Vijayapuram, July 09: The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Sri Vijaya Puram Unit Conducted a Career Guidance programme for school students under the theme “Bhavishya Drishti” on Sunday 6th July 2025 in the Tagore Government College of Education Auditorium in which around 160 students participated. The program was organised to help the students to understand and know the various career options based on their educational and professional choices. The program was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Dr. Anan Jaiswal Consultant Pathologist of Health 4U Multi Specialty Clinic, Sri Vijaya Puram and guest of honour Mr. Rakesh Pal Govind, Senior Advocate, Secretary Bar council of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Addressing the programme the chief guest appreciated the ABVP for conducting the programme for the benefit of the students and spoke on the various career options available for the students after the completion of 10th and 12th standard in medical and medicine streams. In his address Mr. Rakesh Pal Govind speaking to the students highlighted the various aspects of personality development and having discipline and consistency in preparing for various career options and particularly in Law studies. In the expert speakers session Mr. Vikas Lal Patel CA, Mr. C.H. Venkatesh, Principal ITI, Mr. Ajitabh Kumar, Sub Inspector from Andaman & Nicobar police, Mr. N. Damodaran, Career consultant and MD Future Corridor and Dr. Binitendra Nath Mongal, Asst Professor in Chemistry JNRM all spoke on various career options available in the field of Commerce , Vocational streams, career options in Police and other uniform services, in business and self-employment as an Entrepreneur and in the field of Pure Science and research respectively. All the speakers also advised the students to understand their strength, interest and available time and resources before taking up any career stream. In the program Sri OT Vishak Assistant Labour Commissioner and Dr. PVN Sarma, Principal Andaman Law College also spoke on the occasion. Dr. Kandimuthu ABVP Vibhag Pramukh in his special address highlighted various activities of ABVP as an organisation working since its inception in the year 1948 for the welfare and development of students with the objective of transforming Student’s Power into Nation’s Power. Earlier in his welcome address Dr Rajeev Kumar Tivari, ABVP Sri Vijaya Puram City Vice- President spoke on the various programs, projects and activities ABVP conducts throughout the year for the students. Mr. Satyajit Halder, City Secretary. ABVP informed about the various programmes to be conducted during the current academic session 2025-26. The program concluded with the vote of thanks proposed by Media Convenor and Programme Coordinator Mr. V. Saran Shiva. The entire Programme was moderated by Kunal Bain ABVP City Joint Secretary Programme.
