Sri Vijaya Puram, Jun 22: As a part of the International Day of Yoga and in alignment with the Fit India Movement, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands Fire and Emergency Services organized a Yoga session at Fire & Emergency Services Headquarter on 21st June 2025.
The session was conducted with the aim of promoting physical fitness, mental wellness, and holistic health among fire service personnel. The event was led by M/s Sushuma lakra, a Yoga instructor from AYUSH Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram, who guided the participants through a series of yoga asanas and breathing exercises. She emphasized the health benefits of regular yoga practice and its role in building resilience, flexibility, and inner peace—qualities essential for emergency service professionals.
In addition to the physical demonstrations, the session also focused on raising awareness about the significance of Yoga in daily life. Participants were encouraged to adopt Yoga as a regular part of their fitness routines to enhance their overall well-being.
At the conclusion of the session, Senior Officials of the A&N Fire and Emergency Services expressed heartfelt appreciation to all participants for their active involvement and extended special thanks to the instructors from AYUSH Hospital for their valuable contribution.
