Sri Vijaya Puram, May 21: The Directorate of Social Welfare, in collaboration with the Directorate of Health Services and the Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Brookshabad, successfully held a Special Medical Camp for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) on 15th & 16th May 2025.
The primary objective of the camp was to facilitate Unique Disability Identity (UDID) card generation and conduct comprehensive medical assessments for eligible PwDs. A total of 56 Divyangjans were medically assessed by Dr. Tamanna, Member of the Medical Board, Directorate of Health Services. The initiative received active support from Mrs. Sumitha Mol, Director, CRC Brookshabad, and Mrs. Ambika Paul, State Coordinator (UDID), Directorate of Social Welfare.
Following the success of the initial camp, the initiative will continue across various Primary Health Centres (PHCs), Community Health Centres (CHCs), and District Hospitals to ensure wider accessibility. All eligible PwDs are encouraged to attend and avail themselves of the free services. The upcoming camp schedule is as follows:
