Sri Vijaya Puram, May 13: Andaman & Nicobar AIDS Control Society (ANACS) along with Blood Centre, G. B. Pant Hospital, Directorate of Health Services has extended support to INS Utkrosh, Lamba Line and RSN, Dollygunj, Sri Vijaya Puram in organizing a Blood Donation Camp at their premises. A total of 38 units of blood from INS Utkrosh and 32 units of blood from RSN were donated by the voluntary donors.
The donors were examined for their eligibility to donate blood and were briefed on various aspects and importance of blood donation.
The technical team from Blood Center, G.B. Pant Hospital, Sri Vijaya Puram and A & N AIDS Control Society ensured that the donated blood units were screened for the blood transmissible diseases. They also examined the donors for eligibility criteria. Donors certificate were also distributed to the voluntary donors.
