Sri Vijaya Puram, Apr. 4: In exercise of the power conferred under Sub-Section (2) of Section 10 of the Manoeuvres, Field Firing and Artillery Practice Act, 1938, it is to notify for the information of all concerned that the disposal of 909 Nos. of old Stock Tear Smoke Munitions belonging at the A&N Police will be conducted using the burning pit method and is tentatively scheduled to take place at the Police Firing Range, Prothrapur from 07-04-2025 to 02-05-2025 (excluding Sunday) from 0600 hrs to 1200 hrs.
The general public especially the villagers of Bird Line and Prothrapur area have been asked to keep themselves and their pets/animals away and to halt construction activity and movement of men and materials from the firing range on the day of firing during the above mentioned date and time.
