Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 27: It is to inform that Mr. C. Subba Rao, Deputy Director General (IES-1992) batch has assumed the Charge as Cluster Head & Head of Office of Akashvani and Doordarshan, Sri Vijaya Puram from 17th March, 2025. Prior to this he has been instrumental in Doordarshan Sports coverages viz -World Military Games, National Games, CommonWealth Games and played a pivotal role in planning and execution of International fleet review -MARCH 2021 held at Vishakhapatnam for Doordarshan and Akashvani. During the tenure much focus will be expansion of FM band services, Up gradation of Studio to HD format, expansion of coverage area of Low Power Transmitters of Akashvani and Doordarshan so that it could be accessible to even far flung Islands.
