
Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 23: In a remarkable act of community service, HumaneTouch, in association with Moplah Brothers of Mayabunder, successfully conducted The Clotheshare Program at Austin-II, Mayabunder today at 10 AM. The event brought together more than 80 individuals, who benefited from the initiative aimed at providing clothing to the underprivileged.
Br. K Naushad Ali introduced the humanitarian efforts of HumaneTouch, emphasizing the importance of social responsibility and collective efforts in supporting that in need.
The event was further enriched by the participation of officials from the Department of Environment and Forest, Mayabunder, and the Department of Fire Service, Mayabunder, who utilized the platform to create awareness about forest fire prevention and fire safety.
Mr. Bappi Choudhury, Inspector, Fire Service, Mayabunder, highlighted essential fire safety measures, stressing the importance of fire prevention and management of forest fires.
Mrs. Monideepa Choudhury, ACF Mayabunder, spoke in detail about forest fire prevention techniques and urged the community to play an active role in protecting the environment. She also addressed the ill effects of drug and alcohol abuse among school children, emphasizing the urgent need to curb the spread of substance abuse in the islands.
