Port Blair, Mar 30:Mr.Kuldeep Rai Sharma, President, PCC along with a delegation of Crew members of Inter Islands Sector met the Principal Secretary Shipping Mr. Jalaj Shrivastava and apprised him of the grievances of the crew members.
Batting for the crew members of Inter Islands Sector, Mr.Sharma stated that though as per the prevailing rules the wage agreement is made every two years but since 2006 onward no such agreement has been made for implementation and the crew members are thus deprived of many service facilities. Mr. Sharma also requested Principal Secretary Shipping to prepare wage agreement with retrospective effect. Mr. Shrivastava gave a patient hearing and assured to look into the matter.
