Sri Vijaya Puram, Mar 06: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, has formally addressed a letter to the Chief Secretary, A & N Administration requesting the setup of a two-day special camp at Harminder Bay, Little Andaman to provide essential services, including Life Certificate submission for pensioners, Aadhaar enrollment and updates, and facilitation of the Kisan Scheme for local farmers.
Mr. Halder highlighted that during the recent visit of AICC Joint Secretary, Dr. Palak Verma, to Harminder Bay, concerns were raised about the difficulties faced by residents in accessing these critical services due to geographical constraints and inadequate transportation facilities, making it challenging for them to visit service centers located far from their homes.
Mr. Halder stated that “The elderly and pensioners in the village need Life Certificates to ensure the uninterrupted receipt of their benefits. Similarly, Aadhaar-related services such as new enrollments, biometric updates, corrections, and linking with bank accounts are crucial for seamless access to various government schemes. Moreover, numerous farmers require assistance with registration and verification under the Kisan Scheme,”
Emphasizing the significance of these services, he urged the Administration to allocate the necessary personnel and resources to conduct the camp efficiently at Harminder bay.
