Port Blair, Feb 24: In a bid to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students of Higher Educational Institutions, the Directorate of Industries hosted ‘Startup Pitching 2025’ on 20th Feb. The event saw participation from around 120 students representing various institutes.
Students from JNRM performed exceptionally well in the competition. Mr. Ankush Das, a final-year B.Sc. Physics student, clinched the first prize for his innovative pitch on seaweed processing – a concept to harness the A & N Islands marine potential. The second prize was awarded to Mr. Ayush Singh, a final-year B.Sc. Botany student and Mr. Ayan Das, a final-year BCA student, for their idea on ‘Plant Selling Platform’. Pearl Devdas, Principal JNRM, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the winners and participants for their achievement. She emphasized the importance of such platforms in nurturing young minds and encouraged them to think creatively and entrepreneurially.
