Vice President’s Cup Soccer: A&N Command and Chowra Secure Wins in Thrilling Quarter-Final Matches

Car Nicobar, Feb. 14:The XXVI Vice President of India Cup Soccer Championship 2024-25 is currently underway at the BJR Stadium in Tamaloo, Car Nicobar. On 14^th February, 2025, thrilling matches captivated the audience, setting the stage for even more exciting encounters in the days ahead.

The chief guest for the 1^st Quarter Final match was Dr. Johnson Sameer, Medical Superintendent of BJR Hospital Car Nicobar. One of the standout matches saw A&N Command face off against Car Nicobar. The match ended in a goalless draw with a 0-0 score line, and despite a tense extra time period
(7 minutes) where the score remained 0-0, A&N Command emerged victorious in the tie-breaker, winning 3-2. With this victory, A&N Command secured their place in the next stage of the tournament.

The chief guest for the 2^nd Quarter Final match was Shri Akash Kishen, Executive Engineer, CD, APWD, Car Nicobar. In the second match, Wimberlygunj faced Chowra. The match ended in a full-time draw of 1-1. After an intense extra time period that saw no goals, Chowra triumphed 3-0 in the penalty shootout, defeating Wimberlygunj by a final score of 4-1.
