On the occasion of Police Raising Day, I extend my heartfelt congratulations and warm greetings to all ranks of the Andaman & Nicobar Police. Your tireless dedication in maintaining law and order, preventing-crime and ensuring the safety of both residents and tourists is truly commendable.
This day mark 73 years of distinguish service since Mr. Naushirwan Feroz Sauntook, IPS, assumed the role of Superintendent of Police for the A & N Islands on January 16, 1953. I commend the ongoing efforts to strengthen police-public partnerships, including awareness programs and engaging cultural events that involve police families and the broader community.
The swift and effective implementation of the new legal frameworks- Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, Bhartiya Nagarika Suraksha Sanhita and Bhartiya Suraksha Adhiniyam, 2023- will undoubtedly enhance justice delivery and further modernize the justice system. The remarkable success in anti- narcotics operations, including the recent seizure of 6016 kg of Methamphetamine, stands as a powerful testament to your unwavering commitment to safeguarding these islands.
Efforts to combat cybercrime through proactive measures and advanced training for Cyber Commandos, as well as specialized coastal security training for PMF personnel reflect your readiness to meet emerging security challenges.
I am confident that the Andaman & Nicobar Police will continue to exemplify professionalism, integrity, and compassion in serving the community. My best wishes to all police personnel and their families. May you continue to uphold justice with pride and dedication.
