Sri Vijaya Puram, Jan 13: District Child Protection Unit under the District Administration, South Andaman organised two days program on “Pariksha Pe Charcha” on 10th and 11th January 2025 at Balika Niketan, Attam Pahar and Seva Niketan, Dairy Farm respectively for the children of various Child Care Institutions of South Andaman studying in class 10th and 12th and appearing for the Board exams during the current academic year. The aim of the program was to help the children to overcome their stress for examination and to provide guidance on effective preparation and to celebrate the examination.
The Program began with the welcome note by the District Child Protection Officer, South Andaman.
The Resource Person for the Programs was Mrs.. Rita Banerjee, Rtd Principal and Ex- Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee, presently serve as the Principal RGT Vidhyalaya and Mr. Raja Ram, Resource Person from the Department of Education, Siksha Sadan. Mrs. Rita Banerjee in her session provided tips on effective way of preparation and skilful writing of the examination focussing on pre, during and post examination. She also encouraged the children to do meditation to improve concentration and to avoid distraction.
Mr. Raja Ram took a session through power point presentation and interacted with the students through a question box activity by inviting anonymous question from children related to their physical, mental and social health. He has recommended the students with various solutions and options to choose career opportunities in the various streams. He focussed his discussion on the Board Exam Challenges especially before and during examination, management of time and to regulate study schedules and daily routine.
Mr. Sujit Thankachen Chairperson, Child Welfare Committee and Mr. P Rama Chandra Member, Child Welfare Committee encouraged the children and boosted up their morale by sharing their life experience and to cope with the stress of examination. The Committee also encouraged the children to focus in their studies and thereby accomplishing all their dreams and goals.
Altogether 55 children from the various Child Care Institutions participated in the program.
The District Administration ensures to conduct such significant programs and event to do every best possible thing for the children of Child Care Institutions.
