Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 16: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands mourn the loss of one of its most distinguished leaders, Mr. Hari Narayan Arora, who passed away on December 15, 2024, at 10:30 PM in Kolkata. Aged 97, Mr. Arora was a former State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) A&N Islands and a former President of the Andaman and Nicobar Chamber of Commerce and Industries (ANCCI).
Renowned for his visionary leadership and humble demeanor, Mr. Arora dedicated his life to the welfare of society and the development of the business community in these Islands. His contributions to the Island’s economic growth were instrumental, as he championed initiatives that empowered local entrepreneurs and strengthened the commercial foundation of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
As one of the founding members of the BJP in these Islands, Mr. Arora was a stalwart advocate for public welfare, ensuring that the voices of the Islanders reached the highest echelons of leadership. Known for his integrity, compassion, and tireless efforts, he garnered respect across political lines.
During his tenure as the State President of BJP A&N Islands, Mr. Arora worked relentlessly to uplift the Andaman socieity, leaving an indelible mark on the socio-economic landscape of the region. His legacy of selfless service, personal integrity, and commitment to the people will remain a source of inspiration for generations. Mr. Arora’s passing leaves a void in the islands’ political, social, and economic spheres.
