Billyground, Mar 07: A District Level beneficiaries Conference was held at Billyground Community hall, the conference was organized by National Co-operative Union of India (CEFP) Andaman & Nicobar Islands Unit in co-operation with Co-operative Bank, Department of Agriculture, Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry.
On the occasion Mr. Hirenmoy Roy, Pradhan Harinagar Gram Panchayat was the Chief Guest. The Conference was begin with the lightening the lamp by the Chief Guest.
The main objective of the conference was to make aware the common people how to form Self Help Group and how it can meet the employment of the unemployed and how to generate their income by their own effort.
The officials of Co –operative Bank, Department of Agriculture, Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry also elaborately explained how they could extend their support and co-operation to make their ambition successful. All the representatives of said department ensured that if any self Help Group comes to them they will extend their all cooperation to stand up them in their own feet.
Near about 300 villagers, out of which 200 were women, participated in the conference.
