Sri Vijaya Puram, Sept 26: The Directorate of Rural Development (RD), PRIs, and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) of A&N Administration under Swachhata Hi Sewa Campaign 2024 is conducting various IEC activities in Gram Panchayat and Blocks in collaboration with all Line Department of the UT of A&N Islands. This event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, students, and community leaders.
As part of the campaign, Gram Panchayat Laxminagar of Campbell Bay showcased their creativity by transforming waste into art and promoting community pride. Re-using waste water bottles and pots and transforming them into growing ornamental plants initative showed waste management facilities and promoting community engagement.
As part of the nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, under the Swachhata Lakshya Ekayi Pillar, 7 CTU was cleared today. Gram Panchayat Sippighat conducted second black spot cleanliness drive at Jodakilan, Gram Panchayat Vivekananda Pur identified and cleaned Black Spot in public spaces to promote community Health, Hygiene and environment sustainability Cleanliness Target Unit (CTU) dedicated in enhancing cleanliness and environmental awareness within the community.

A Nukkad Natak was organized at Low Point in Gram Panchayat Campbell Bay under the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign, with the coordination of the Education Department. A total of 25 school children participated in the street play, and highlighted the importance of collective effort for a clean environment.
