Port Blair, Mar 1: Mr. B.P. Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands in his letter addressed to the Minister of Home Affairs, Govt. of India has highlighted the problems faced by the residents of the Shanti Nagar, Village of Diglipur Tehsil and has also sought many demands for the villagers from him.
Mr. Ray informed the Minister that Shanti Nagar Village is a revenue village under the Gandhi Nagar Panchayat and the people of the village are facing many problems and he has also demanded several things from him for the villagers. His demand Included Construction of Dinghy Ghat Road – from Mr. Kumod Haider house to Dinghi Ghat in Sham Nagar, Ward No.2, Providing Drinking water facilities to the villagers, Opening up sub-center in the village, Issuing of Aadhar cards to the villagers, Issuing of Sketch/Maps of the lands to the villagers, Construction of permanent Aanganwadi in the village, Removal of Sajan trees near the houses of the people, Provide electricity posts for the villagers as they are not given connection because of lack of posts with the electricity department.
Mr. Ray has concluded his letter by requesting him to intervene into the matter and get the villagers their demands.
