Port Blair, Feb 27: Mr. B.P Ray, Member of Parliament, Andaman and Nicobar Islands in his letter addressed to the President of India has placed numerous demands from him for the residents of Coffee Dera, North and Middle Andaman District.
The demand made by the MP to the president includes construction of Pre-Primary/ Anganwadi/ Primary School in Coffee Dera, Construction of wells for providing Drinking water facilities to the villagers, Providing medical facilities to the villagers, Providing solar home lights to the villagers, Providing Fertilizers, pesticides to the non-license land holders of the villagers, opening of a Police Check Post to tackle with the poachers infiltration and their illegal activities.
Further the MP informed the president that there are 34 Post-78 Forest Encroachment families in Coffee Dera Village. He also informed that the rice, pulses, vegetables that are grown there in the village account for 80-90% of the demands of the Diglipur Islands.
