Port Blair, July 05: On 05/07/2024, Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, Director General of Police, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, presided over the Oath Taking Ceremony of the newly inducted Trade Trainees of the Andaman & Nicobar Police. The event, held at the Police Training School in Prothrapur, marked a significant milestone for 54 trainees across various units, including PMF (12), Band Unit (10), Police Radio (17), Fire & Emergency Services (02), and PMT (13).
The ceremony witnessed the gracious presence of distinguished guests, including Smti. Sindhu Pillai. A, IPS, Inspector General of Police, ANI, Smti. Varsha Sharma, IPS, Deputy Inspector General of Police (Training), along with other senior officers of A & N Police and the proud family members of the trainees.
The Chief Guest, Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, DGP, ANI, in his inspiring address, encouraged the Trade Trainees to pursue excellence and dedication in their new roles. He emphasized the importance of integrity, discipline, and commitment as they begin their journey to becoming responsible and sincere police personnel. His words resonated with the young trainees, instilling in them a sense of pride and responsibility.
During the ceremony, outstanding trainees were honored for their exceptional performance. RPC (B)/1937 Asmitha Tani was adjudged the 1st All Round Best Trainee, a recognition of her hard work and dedication. RPC (B)/1956 P. Kausalya and RPC (D)/2218 Mahavir Singh Rawat were jointly adjudged the 2nd All Round Best Trainees. These exemplary trainees were awarded Commendation Certificates, Trophies, and Cash Rewards by the Chief Guest, Shri Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, DGP, ANI, in recognition of their outstanding achievements.
The solemn Oath of Allegiance was administered to the trainees by Shri Manjeet Sheoran, IPS, Principal (PTS), in the presence of the Chief Guest and other dignitaries. The oath-taking ceremony symbolizes the trainees’ commitment to uphold the law and serve the community with honor and integrity.
The event concluded with a sense of pride and accomplishment, as the new batch of police personnel prepared to embark on their professional journey. The presence of senior officers, dignitaries, and family members added to the significance of the occasion, making it a memorable event for all.
