Mayabunder, May 12: The Revenue Officials of the District Administration, North & Middle Andaman are continuing with their unwavering commitment to reclaim public spaces and uphold the law. On the fourth day of the encroachment eviction drive today, the team carried out the eviction process in various areas of the District viz. DB Gram village (7000 sq. mtrs of land with temporary shed, banana and arecanut plantation), VS Pally village (100 sq. mtrs. footpath) under Diglipur Tehsil and Shantanu village (12000 sq. mtrs of land with banana and arecanut plantation), Rangat Bazaar (roadside/footpath tents/ temporary sheds) under Rangat Tehsil and restored it to Govt. Khata.
Over the past four days, the Revenue teams have tirelessly worked to identify and address instances of encroachment on Govt. lands. Through diligent enforcement efforts, numerous unauthorized structures and occupations have been successfully removed, restoring these areas to their intended use for the benefit of all residents.
This ongoing initiative is a testament to the District Administration’s, North & Middle Andaman, zero-tolerance policy towards encroachment, emphasizing the importance of adhering to established regulations and respecting communal spaces.
