Port Blair, Mar 10: Under the RCH Programme, a Mini RCH (Reproductive and Child Health) Camp was organised at Community Hall, Wandoor under the jurisdiction of PHC Manglutan today by the Union Territory Health Mission (UTHM) in association with the Directorate of Health Services, A&N Administration.
The camp was inaugurated by Mr. Adhir Das, Pradhan, GP Wandoor in the presence of Dr Avijit Roy, Joint Secretary (RCH-II), Dr. Sanjiv Jaichand, Dental Surgeon and NO NOHP, Dr. Annie Harsha, MO I/c PHC Manglutan other faculty and doctors from ANIIMS. The Pradhan in his inaugural speech emphasised on conducting more such camps with more specialities and diagnostics in the area in near future for the benefit of the people.
During the camp, Dr. Sattien Asst. Prof. ENT, Dr. Shirley, LMO, Deptt. of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dr. Reema Dakua, Senior Resident, Deptt. of Paediatrics, Dr. Grishma Lall SR Deptt. of Surgery, doctors from Ophthalmology, Medicine and Psychiatry and Social worker rendered their services along with dental check up. Basic diagnostics services were also provided during the camp.
Altogether, 71 patients were examined and provided medicines. Few were referred to G.B Pant Hospital for further treatment. The patients were also screened for Diabetes and Hypertension.
