Port Blair, Feb 18: On 17.02.2024 a cleanliness campaign was organised at Veer Savarkar International Airport under the leadership of Airport Director Mr. Devender Yadav.
About 150 stakeholders working at the airport including employees of Airports Authority of India, CISF, Airlines and other agencies have participated in the cleanliness campaign.
At the inauguration of the cleanliness campaign, the Airport Director said that cleanliness is a noble cause for humanity and it is also the duty to pay special attention to the cleanliness of the workplace and the environment around. To stay healthy, they need a clean environment more than doctors, hospitals and medicines. People should respect the employees engaged in cleanliness work and their work. Special care should be taken that neither any work nor the person doing it is small. Cleanliness and security are the responsibility of all of them. The Airport Authority of India, also known as the guardian of the aviation sector, has invested heavily in cleanliness and safety. Whenever people think of an airport, the first thing that comes to the mind is the excellent experience of cleanliness and security there. The Airport Director recognizes the great work of all the people engaged in the cleanliness of the airport and salutes their hard work in improving the cleanliness of the airport.
