Port Blair, Feb 08: The District Administration, through its District Health Society, South Andaman in coordination with the Health Department, organized two-day training on Leprosy Eradication. The training took place on 7th& 8th of February, 2024 at AYUSH Hospital, Junglighat.
The training was inaugurated by Dr. Suja Anthony, Director of Health Services alongwith Dr. Sunil Kumar, Deputy Director (Health Education) and Dr. B. Ajit Kumar, Deputy Director (Leprosy) on 7th February, 2024.During the inauguration, the participants were encouraged by the dignitaries to make the most of the training opportunities.
A total of 33 Community Health Officers actively participated in the training sessions. The training concluded on 8thFebruary, 2024.Certificates were distributed to the participants during the conclusion ceremony. The Director of Health Services, Dr. Suja Anthony, presented the certificates to the participants.
This initiative demonstrates a proactive approach towards addressing health issues and promoting community health awareness in the South Andaman District.
