
Port Blair, Dec.24: The second day of Prelude to ITF-2023, saw talents unfolding with varied kinds of cultural programmes ranging from melodious songs to lively dances and foot tapping numbers. The crowd was treated to a lively performance by Artistes of Andaman Sangeet Academy, Semi-Classical Dance by Gauri Shankara Classical Dance Academy, Rouf Folk Dance of Jammu & Kashmir and Bihu Folk Dance of Assam by artistes of EZCC, Musical program by Unity Orchestra, Dance by Inspiration Dance Group, Children from Seva Niketan and Jhankar Dance Group, making the evening worth reminiscing. Organised by the Department of IP&T in association with Department of Art & Culture, A&N Administration, the prelude is a glimpse of what’s to come at the gala event to be held at ITF Ground from Dec. 27 to 31.
People in large number gathered at the venue and enjoyed the musical evening flanked by friends and families. The Marina Park area adorned with colourful lights added vibrancy to the event. The programme commenced with presentation by artistes from Andaman Sangeet Academy followed by foot tapping numbers by artistes from Unity Orchestra taking one back down memory lane. The exuberant Folk Dances of Jammu & Kashmir and Assam showcased the beauty of their respective States enriched with unique traditions and cultures. The graceful Semi-Classical Dance by artistes from Gauri Shankara Classical Dance Academy mesmerized the gathering with their movements and expressions. Children from Seva Niketan also presented a dance program on the occasion. Artistes from Inspiration Dance group presented an electrifying performance while Jhankar Dance Group artiste mesmerized the crowd with their dance moves. The prelude event will also be organized tomorrow (Dec.25) at the Marina Park from 5 pm to 8 pm.
