Port Blair, Dec 22: A delegation of Andaman & Nicobar Rajya Karmachari MahaSangh (ANRKMS) alongwith representative of Nagarpalika Swatchtha Karmachari Sangh (NSKS) today met Mr. Venkatesan, Chairman, National Commission for Safai Karmachari (NCSK) and appraised the ground level working condition of Sanitary Worker pertaining to Port Blair Municipal Council. The basic amenities such as drinking water, toilet facilities, and restroom all were discussed in length. Apart from the current gruesome situation it was also discussed about the schemes implementing by NCSK for the benefit of Safai Karmachari of entire country to be extended to the Safai Karmachari of Municipal as well as rural areas of A&M Islands (UT).
The Chairman assured that a camp for 10 days of financial institution will be conducted in January or February, 2024. The delegation consisted of Mr. Vijay Kumar, Vice President, ANRKM, Mr. S. Biju Pillai, General Secretary, ANRKM, Mr. K. Thirumuniyan, Secretary, NSKS under the guidance of Mr. M. Vinod, Patron, IP&T Karmachari Sangh. The matter of regularizing all casual/DRMs were also highlighted in which asked ANRKM to submit a detailed proposal of financial as well as benefitting employees details which will be submitted soon to the Chairman, National Commission for Safai Karmachari (NCSK).
