Port Blair, Dec. 18: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) campaign continued its urban outreach in Ward No. 17 and Ward No. 18, witnessing an enthusiastic response from the residents. The specially designed IEC Van dedicated to the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was warmly received at Ward No. 17, where a screening of informative videos and the collective recital of the Viksit Bharat Pledge took place among both the public and officials. A Sankalp pledge was administered, highlighting the significance of unified efforts towards advancing India’s development. Complementing the cultural program, the event also featured ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani,’ a platform where beneficiaries shared firsthand experiences of the Government’s flagship schemes, emphasizing their life-altering outcomes.
In the evening, the IEC Van of the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ received a warm welcome from Shri Rajesh Pal Govind, Ward Councillor of Ward No. 18 and local residents. Videos showcasing the initiatives of Viksit Bharat by the Government of India were screened, followed by the administration of the Sankalp Pledge by the Ward Councillor. He highlighted the significance of the Yatra and urged active participation to reap its benefits. Emphasizing the importance of spreading awareness, the Ward Councillor encouraged attendees to disseminate information about the array of Government of India schemes operational in the Islands. Inspirational stories shared during ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubani’ further motivated individuals to avail themselves of these beneficial schemes. The occasion also witnessed the felicitation of commendable workers from PBMC for their exceptional contributions to the ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’ campaign across both wards.
The upcoming Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event is scheduled to be held on December 19, 2023, featuring two sessions. Beginning at 10 am, the event will commence at Prothrapur Community Hall in Ward No. 19. Later in the day, at 3 pm, the VBSY campaign will be held at Community Hall in Pahargaon, Ward No. 20. This event is a golden opportunity for area residents to engage and benefit from various schemes implemented by the GoI. PBMC has extended a warm invitation to all area residents to take part in this program and find out the diverse benefits of the schemes offered by various Departments and the Council.
