Port Blair, Dec 10: The State Child Protection Society (SCPS) under the Directorate of Social Welfare conducted a ‘Life Skills Education Awareness Programme’ at Sagritara School. Dr. Nitin Shakya, Director (Social Welfare) highlighted the significance of life skill education through which students can achieve personal well-being, develop themselves into active and responsible citizens to face life’s challenges with confidence.
Mrs. Komal Anand, Member of Child Welfare Committee (CWC) as resource person shared impactful stories with the children, educating them on essential life skills and raising awareness about the significance of such skills in their lives. The highlight of the program was the storytelling session conducted by her, providing valuable insights into life skills through captivating narratives.
The programme led by Program Manager of the SCPS, was aimed at enlightening children about communication skills, health and hygiene. Children also participated in various activities, which emphasizes the importance of communication skills and promoting good health and hygiene practices. The Program Manager, SARA focused on time management, imparting crucial knowledge to the participating children. Ms. Priti Kujur, Principal, Sagritara School proposed the vote and thanks.
