Port Blair, Nov 14: National Book Week is celebrated from 14th Nov. to 20th Nov. every year. PM SHRI Govt. Sr. Sec. Bambooflat has organized a Book Mela on 14.11.2023 at 9.20 am in the school library to mark the celebration. Mr. Biswajit Sen, Assistant Director (Sports), Wimberlygunj was invited as chief guest on this occasion. Mr. Sobha Roy, Principal, PM SHRI GSSS Bambooflat welcomed the chief guest along with other dignitaries. The function was marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony along with lighting of the lamp in the library. The Chief Guest visited the library which was decorated in a very different manner. It had different sections like Glimpses of A&N Islands, motivational books, historical and many more. In his address, he asked the students to cultivate the habit of reading books regularly to attain knowledge and wisdom. He also added that good books build characters.
