Port Blair, Jan 28: The Bharatiya Janta Yuva Morcha (BJYM) today staged protest near Gandhi statue, Port Blair against the Union home minister Mr. Sushil Kumar Shinde and burnt effigy for his alleged remarks that the BJP is patronizing Hindu terrorism in the country.
While addressing the protestors and public various BJP leaders condemned Shinde for his allegations that RSS and BJP were behind ‘Hindu Terror’ in the country.
Leading the protests, the BJP leaders and its new state president Mr. Vishal Jolly slammed Shinde and said that he needs to understand that he is the home minister of the country.
“Sonia Gandhi should apologize to the nation and sack Shinde,” He said.
Mr. Shinde had made the controversial remark on the final day of the Congress Party”s Chintan Shivir in Jaipur. He had accused the BJP and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of holding terror training camps and promoting “Hindu terrorism” in the country.
Further the leaders and the members of BJYM wanted an apology from Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
“BJP demands that Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Shinde should tender their unconditional apology without fail, by removing Sushil Kumar Shinde from the post of Union Home Minister, immediately,” leaders of BJP and BJYM said.
Meanwhile similar protests was also held at Mayabunder, under the leadership of Swa Tathus, State General Secretary of BJYM.
