Port Blair, Sep 28: All Tourism activities in Andaman Nicobar Islands should be promoted as ‘a science’ from now onwards said Mr. Krishnamachari Director the Islands Institute of Skill Development Port Blair while addressing about 20 Tour Operators and Travel Agents of Maharastra at TIES INSTITUTE in Pune this evening.
In a Power Point Presentation it was highlighted that the entire world is rethinking about promotion of nature positive tourism and thus Andaman is not an exception. He highlighted about some new initiatives with more focus on ‘wellness-fitness and innovation in promoting tourism in the islands which is the need of the hour in the post covid scenario and emphasized on protection of the 5 elements of the nature existing in their best form all around the islands and not to commercialize tourism activities like some countries.
However generation of employment opportunities is the prime concern of his mission said Mr. Chari while concluding his presentation. He further said that he is meeting the travel agents in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nādu to spread the above revised plan to promote tourism in the islands, a communication from IISD said.
